The most classic tour in Tuscany.
The tour begins with a visit to the medieval town, placed along the “Francigena’s
way”, of San Gimignano, famous for its 13th century towers built
by the merchants to symbolize their wealth and prosperity.
Next, a stop in Monteriggioni, a lovely and picturesque village.
There you can decide to have your lunch or just take a sightseeing walk
on the medieval wall that surrounds the town.
Driving through the enchanting Tuscan countryside the tour goes
on to Siena which was founded by the Romans in 180 b.c. on the site of
a former Etruscan settlement.
Siena is one of Europe’s greatest medieval towns, with its maze
of narrow streets it fascinates visitors from all over the world.
The striped black and white marble “Duomo” dominates Siena’s
skyline and “The Piazza del Campo”, a shell shaped 12 century
square, is the focus of the twice-yearly drama of Siena’s renowned
horse race the “Palio”
Cafes, restaurants and fine medieval palaces are found on almost
